Bring your brats to work day

Well, actually it is now bring your kids to work day. For years it was just daughter, so Cody was never able to come to work with me. After he passed the age limit that they allow (which that has now been raised too it seems), sons are now allowed! I would have liked for him to come in. Since I have the "in" with all the departments, he could have gone to all the departments - probably even a ride along. Joel told me one time he would take him, but they never allowed sons to come in. Joel is who I rode with my third week of working here, it was cool seeing what they have to do. His area is Sun City Center with all the retired and snow birds. Mainly the Kings point subdivision, it was very interesting to say the least!

Guess what I did yesterday? Walked even more! There is this side street at work that circles back to our office, it is 1/2 a mile. So yesterday my day consisted of parking at the furthest spot, walking to the office, walking up 48 steps of stairs. Had to go pay my bill so I did not get disconnected (Vince would have loved to have disconnected me just to get a laugh out of it) so back down 48 steps, pay bill come back up 48 steps besides walking to the front of the building - I am in the back west side. Went back down those 48 steps, walked the 1/2 a mile, back up the 48 steps. Then down them one last time to walk thru the whole parking lot to leave. Now this does not include the 5 trips to the bathroom (since I am drinking so much darn water), nor does it include having to bring thisngs to people! I need one of those walking things to know who much walking I did. My legs are a little sore today, but gonna try to do the walking again. May just do it on a morning break. Gonna work up to both breaks. That is now my new goal!

Well, work time gotta run. Blog at ya later.

Keep up the good work. I've been using my HIGH bklood pressure as an excuse for not taking our stairs but after my Dr. appt today I may start.

I didn't know it was bring a brat to work day until DS mentioned it this morning. Since I didn't know for sure, I didn't bring him. Darn. I have a ton of filing he could have done.
