OK, I called at 8am when they normally open at 7:30 - still had the darn answering service. So I called back 7mins later and they answered. I told the woman I was sick in bed for 6 days and I am so over it - I really need to get worked in this morning! She asked if 10:45 was soon enough and I said I will take it! Of coarse I went a little early hoping that I could get in and get out. Well, they were swamped which I had a felling. But still moved around quickly since most everyone ahead of me was in for flu like symptoms also. I got 2 different types of cough medicine that I can take both in the same day. One is a syrup (usual cough styrp with codeine) and the other is a pill - he said it numbs your throat. I thought I would probably take the one and then a few hours later take the other. Besides that of coarse a antibiotic, did you know that Publix fills antibiotic scripts for free? Yep no 10.00 co-pay! So 20.00 for the 3 medicines instead of 30.00. Waisted almost $60.00 on drugs in the past week, and nothing. Cody has a cough and poor Oscar has a runny nose. I really hope my mom does not get it.
Oh and yes I called in sick! I hate that more than anything, but I knew I better get the meds in me working first and then go in tomorrow. I can do some of the work here from home. I did lots of it last night so there should not be uch today or tomorrow. I did get a doctors note even though my boss knows if I called out sick - then I am sick. I did have perfect attendance until now. Damn November almost December and lost my perfect attendance - I am so mad. But I think Manny will let me take it as vacation since I still have 2 days to schedule besides my week in December. Well guess I better go and get caught up on things. Fingers crossed these meds will knock this out today! Take care everyone!

Did they do a flu swab?? I hope the meds work & you feel better soon.
Glad you got some meds. Phil has this bug too and he was going to go to the dr this afternoon. He was miserable so I feel your pain. Sure hope I don't get it!
Oh poor Michele, I hope you feel better tomorrow and that the meds work fast.

Sure wish you felt better...take your meds and do what the dr. says so you get back on your feet ASAP!
Did they do a Strep test? With the bad sore throat, that's what it sounds like.
Glad you got some good drugs and are on the mend. (Is there anything better than cough syrup with Codeine? Nope, didn't think so!)
