Which means next weekend is THE weekend I have been waiting for! The hustle and bustle time is on! The details are getting finalized, and then the game is on! Looking forward to seeing friends I have met that live all over the state, and looking forward to meeting new ones that have decided to join in on our fun. Now I am a little sad that a couple of the usual fun scrapping sisters will not be there, but we will toast them in their honor!
Knowing that next weekend is Winter Retreat is the only thing that got me thru today! I do not like working Sundays. The call center is on half staff and from 6:45am to 2:00pm I am the only supervisor. Well for months I have been complaining about the Sunday staff! Stats and my complaining has finally made the "suits" notice that there is a need for a Manager on staff on Sundays. Well, even with a Manager there - the people were their normal selves. At least I had a little help in that matter. But the day started out great when at 7am the reps were to log onto the phones and they could not do it! If that was not bad enough, a few hours later all calls were being routed to our slim pickings call center. We were sitting with over 70 calls holding and yet Manatee had 20 reps waiting for calls, as with Pinellas. For the most part the people we did have were operators routing calls all over the place to help get the calls down some. We did good until 830am, and then the flood gates opened up! When 3:45 came around I was so ready to leave. Ricky (the manager there) told me I could not leave, it felt like a ton of bricks landing on my chest! He kept me about 10 mins and then said - I was just kidding - leave. I could have hit him as he laughs. I was so mentally drained from today when I came home I took a nap. I hope that does not keep me up all night now. I am yawning, so maybe I can get some more much needed sleep. Well, Brothers & Sisters is almost over and I have some blogs to read - so I will end mine for now.
Take care and until tomorrow.............
